07 - John

Description

John is the 9th recruit of SCCG. He has a durable build, with 6 hearts and a balance between an item based moveset and a damage based moveset. His head is an orange sphere, with a very expressive face on the front. His limbs sprout directly from his head, his right arm is green, left arm is pink, and his left and right legs are blue and sky blue respectively. Atop his head, he wears a simple brown adventurers hat with a maroon strap on it.

Lore

John has always shown immense creativity and mental prowess, with tons of imaginary friends spanning his life. On his 10th birthday, his dad told him of the heroic adventure that he had wanted to go on when he was young. Rumours stated that across Mandor were hundreds of differently shaped, funny objects. They were believed to be the shards of the asteroid that brought not only the Chromabloid species to Mandor, but also joy and color.

As his father finished the story, he handed John his old hat, a book containing advanced survival and exploring knowledge, and the first funny object, the only one he managed to find. That day, he set off on the adventure of his lifetime. 4 years later, the day after his 14th birthday, he found a sixth funny object, a purple diamond. The instant he touched the diamond, he felt awakened, like his psyche had come to life.

The world around him began warping, he started seeing old imaginary friends coming to life from things that resembled them, namely the funny objects. Everything began to shuffle over and over, but rather than panicking, John remained calm, he began thinking of how the world was before he touched the diamond. As quickly as it began, it stopped. A few anomalies remained, yet it had dissipated.

He turned around to walk away and bumped into a cloaked man with a wacky face, Eric. He stuck out his hand to shake John's and told him about the contest. John had officially been recruited for his strong mental connection to the universe itself, and his great skill in exploration and survival
